Ben Trent is a native San Diegan with 20+ years of cabinet making experience. His dad, Brian Trent, is a general contractor who has been in business since 1983. Since as early as Ben can remember, Brian has been teaching him the ins and outs of sourcing tools and materials to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship. Ben grew up hanging around his dad’s shop in San Diego after school and other jobs. When not working on cabinets, Ben enjoys surfing, playing music and staying close with childhood friends from Saint Mary Madeleine, University of San Diego High School, and San Diego State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in English. After college he worked through his twenties as a City of San Diego Ocean Lifeguard. After marrying Mallory in 2014, he decided to move on from lifeguarding and looked for a career in construction. In 2017, he became a licensed C-6 contractor, specializing in custom cabinetry. Through his life experience and influence from his father, Ben learned how to navigate the business in a way that satisfies the customer’s vision while keeping quality materials and building processes at the forefront of each project’s unique goal.
